File Filter

A File Filter let you to control which files a program will examine. Information about those files that "pass through" or match the filter. Information about all other files will be skipped or ignored.

 

For example, if you select the "Common Image Files" filter, only files that normally store pictures or other images will appear on your report. Select the "Common Sound Files" filter, and only files that normally contain music or sound will be processed.

 

A File Filter consists of one or more Wildcard. A file matches, or passes through, a File Filter if its file name matches one or more of the filter's wildcards.
